PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING

IMG_0710.JPG

After starting my career in the Environmental sector as an Consultant in the field of Energy and Climate Change in London, I retrained as a French tutor in 2008. This move aimed at allowing me to have a more balanced lifestyle with a profession in line with my passion for languages.

I have also been researching the topic of

trilingualism for the last ten years and have had the blessing to experiment a thrilling family journey with my husband and four children. Between us we share four languages (French, Spanish, English and Creole) which we are committed to keep alive.

I believe there is a need for more awareness about the opportunities and challenges arising from a multilingual upbringing. If you are currently wrestling with the following questions, please get in touch :

1.When does my child become aware of his multilingualism ?

2.Do multilinguals take longer to speak?

3.What do we do if a child insists on speaking the community language at home?

4.What language(s) are my children likely to speak between themselves?

5.What do we do if a child refuses to speak our mother tongue or the majority language?

6.What language should we speak at the diner table?
